Review - An impressive first Industry Night Regio Basel with 8,500 visitors
17 September 2022, shortly after midnight: calm is slowly returning to some of the 44 participating companies, whilst others operating on a shift basis continue with their daily work. The first Industry Night Regio Basel is now history. The last visitors are leaving the region’s laboratories, workshops, innovation centres and sites with a wealth of impressions and experiences. With over 20,000 entries – equivalent to around 8,500 visitors – the first Industry Night Regio Basel was a resounding success. There was already a great deal of curiosity in the run-up to the event; after all, many companies were opening their doors to the general public for the first time. The diverse audience was particularly pleasing. The programme had something exciting in store for everyone, whether young or old, looking for a job or simply curious and full of questions. The demand from regional educational institutions was also very encouraging. Over 1,300 pupils visited the Industry Night free of charge as part of school trips. The first Industry Night offered an accessible experience with plenty of opportunities to meet people – on tours of previously inaccessible sites, during hands-on workshops, in conversations with staff, and over food and drink under the night sky.
The organisers and initiators at das mgmt gmbh have drawn an extremely positive conclusion from the first event. The extraordinary willingness of companies to develop and deliver an exciting programme met with great interest from the public. Furthermore, the first Industry Night Regio Basel took place without incident. The organisers are now working flat out on the evaluation and will soon announce the date of the next Industry Night.
